A table set for one.
With nearly a decade of experience in a number of modalities, my goal is to work with you to meet your body’s needs.
First-timers If this is your first visit with me, or your very first massage, you are required to complete a health intake and liability waiver. You can complete these forms online and submit them to me. I will review your information prior to your visit and when you arrive, we will discuss any conditions or concerns you have and develop a plan to address these issues during your massage. Please list all of health and wellness concerns as well as your medications and allergies so I can adapt the session to your specific needs without doing any harm.
Please arrive a bit early This is your time and I intend to give you my all. Allow yourself a bit of time to ‘come down’ and relax so that you can be fully present and enjoy your massage.
Your glass is half full If possible, for your comfort, please avoid eating a large meal before your massage. Hydration is always a good idea especially before your massage. Well hydrated muscle and tissue will make my work more effective and comfortable for you.
Undress to your level of comfort You will be completely covered by a sheet and blanket throughout your massage. I will only uncover the specific body area I am addressing at the time. You are free to fully disrobe if you wish, or I will adapt my techniques to accommodate your clothing. I will leave the room and allow you time to disrobe and get comfortable on the table.
What do I do during a massage? Relax. Take some deep breaths. This is your time and I want you to be comfortable, so please don’t hesitate to ask if you want anything adjusted. Tensing your body, holding your breath, or tightening your muscles can be counterproductive, so please relax as much as you can. I’ve got you. Close your eyes and chill, or if you want to talk, talk.
Talk to me Speaking of talking, please let me know if the pressure I am using is too much or not enough. Let me know if you want anything adjusted, pressure, temperature, sheeting, or pillows.
What’s next? My goal is that you feel fantastic after your massage. Depending on your massage pressure choice, you may feel a bit sore the next day. Overtime, the more you receive therapeutic massage, the better you will feel as the benefits of massage are cumulative. Chronic conditions will lessen and you will more easily be able to release tension and stress from your body with consistent massage work. We can discuss a massage plan that works for you.
